With seven years of experience in the building design industry, Shawn Rodriguez has built a career grounded in both hands-on construction and advanced sustainable design. Starting as a construction laborer, he developed a deep appreciation for the built environment, which led him to pursue higher education in Civil Engineering Technologies and Geomatics Technologies at Sandhills Community College. During his time at Sandhills Community College, Shawn served as the VIce-President of the Student Government Association. Shawn served in this role for 2 years and also participated in the Student Leadership Development Program where he met with and collaborated with other Executive Officers of the Student Government Association of all 58 Community College’s in North Carolina.

Now serving as a Green Junior Consultant and Senior Draftsman for Greenhem Inc., Shawn combines his technical expertise with a passion for sustainability. Recently earning his LEED Accredited Professional®️ in Building Design + Construction (LEED AP®️ BD+C) certification, he is committed to integrating energy-efficient, eco-friendly solutions into modern building design.

Shawn strives to help clients visualize, design, and implement sustainable structures that are both cost-effective and environmentally responsible, bringing innovative green technologies to the forefront of construction and development.

Preston Coker is a talented graphic designer and a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.

During his time at UNCP, Preston was also a track and field athlete, developing strong skills in teamwork, dedication, and discipline—qualities that now shape his professional approach to design and problem-solving.

Before joining Greenhem Inc., he worked as a Content Developer and Graphic Designer for UNCP’s Office of Online Learning. What began as an internship quickly evolved into a full-time role, where he created engaging visual content for social media, video production, and online learning platforms. His work included banners, logos, templates, and layouts for university websites, with notable contributions to the UNCP website redesign, training videos, and educational content for the Canvas platform.

Since joining Greenhem Inc., Preston has made a significant impact, using his design and analytical skills to develop and maintain websites, as well as create state-of-the-art graphic designs that enhance the company’s branding and digital presence.

Sven Schaefer brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic background to his role as Vice President of Greenhem Inc. His career began in the German Air Force, where he piloted Alpha Jets, Tornadoes, and T-37 aircraft. During his final three years of service, he pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Applied University of Science in Augsburg, Germany, along with additional degrees in IT Project Management and Web Design.

After retiring as a Major in 2006, Sven relocated to North Carolina with his family in 2007 and transitioned into the technology sector, working for a Dallas-based networking software company. His entrepreneurial mindset soon led him to establish his own web design company, which later evolved into Tangram Media Inc. in 2011. This company provided businesses across the U.S. and globally with innovative digital marketing solutions, including web design, social media management, online advertising, and consulting.

In May 2024, Sven joined Greenhem Inc. as Director of Real Estate and Marketing, bringing his expertise in digital strategy and business development to the company.
Today, he continues to drive innovation and expansion, ensuring that Greenhem Inc. remains a leader in sustainable real estate and marketing excellence.

Chelsea Torres supports the marketing team with campaign coordination, content development, and digital outreach. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of organization, she helps ensure projects run smoothly and effectively. Passionate about brand communication and creative strategy, Chelsea brings fresh ideas and reliable execution to every initiative.

Crystal Young brings years of experience in office management, with a proven ability to streamline operations, boost workplace efficiency, and support cross-functional teams. Her background spans a wide range of responsibilities, from overseeing day-to-day office functions to delivering outstanding customer service.
