What’s happenin’??? Moore is, that’s what!

Here are our staff’s picks for some awesome Moore County events for this week!

Friday

  • Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin’? Hollyfield Designs kicks off its annual Christmas open house today, and it goes through tomorrow. It’s 10 am to 5 pm each day.
  • Southern Pines Growler Company is putting the ‘Fun’ in ‘Fun Wine Friday’ from 4:30 to 6:30 this evening with its wine tasting. Why not wine down for the week?
  • The weekend’s biggest event is by far the Ederville Tractor Show in Carthage, celebrating its 100 of agriculture in the Moore County and the 20th iteration of the showing. It goes all weekend with a slew of events each day. Tickets are $15 for one day, $25 for two, and $35 gets ya in for all three days.

Saturday

  • Even with these chilly temps we’ve had lately, it doesn’t hurt to get outside and enjoy the fall breeze. What better way to do that than Saturday’s first annual car show at The Pro Shop Auto Repair in Pinebluff? It runs from noon to five and has prizes at the door, plus the top three awards
  • Before you take off and go see the fancy cars, go see some other vehicles in 13th annual Southern Pines veterans parade in downtown SoPi! It goes from 10 am to noon and boasts “marching bands, color guards, military vehicles, and veterans from different areas.”
  • We all know your car is dirty. I know it, you know it, your boss knows it. Head on over to Advance Auto Parts in Aberdeen from 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday for a car wash for a cause, supporting local veterans with wreaths this holiday season.
